In the late 2000’s, I began to write a video treatment for a song almost as soon as I had written the song itself. I almost always did, but it got to a point where I thought I’d been around enough film-sets and learnt enough to try my hand at directing the videos myself. The Piccadilly Trot was the first one that really stretched me. With a cast of over 100 people, it was a huge risk, but I was blessed with an incredible team working around me and we pulled it off. What Love Would Wantwas a similar process with a lot of preparation. Making short films and videos for my songs is a challenge I love to take on and there’s nothing quite as magical as seeing something on screen that was once only in my mind.
